Asian Side Morning
The Asian side is where Istanbul residents actually live their lives. This route strings together the best of Kadıköy and Kuzguncuk into a morning that moves between pastry queues, numbered wine, legendary kebabs, and a hilltop Bosphorus view. Take the ferry over — it's part of the experience.
Ferry from Eminönü or Kabataş to Kadıköy
Cross the Bosphorus. 20 minutes, ₺20 on Istanbul Card. The view of the Old City skyline from the water is the correct introduction to Istanbul. Arrive at Kadıköy ferry terminal.

Brekkie Croissant & Cookie
The canonical croissant queue. If it's too long, use the takeaway window. Grab a bag and walk through the park towards the canal opposite Fenerbahçe stadium for a bench breakfast.

Metet Közde Döner (Kuzguncuk)
Take a taxi or walk (30 minutes) north along the waterfront to Kuzguncuk. Lunch at the celebrity chef's kebab spot. Get the Beyti Kebap if iskender feels like too much. The lentil soup is mandatory regardless.

Kuzguncuk Neighborhood Walk
Walk off lunch through the neighbourhood. Main street, community organic garden, wooden houses. Then climb the hill to the park for the Bosphorus viewpoint. The view from the top is the payoff.

Ferry back to Eminönü
Take the ferry back from Üsküdar (a short taxi or walk from Kuzguncuk). The return crossing gives you the best view of the old city skyline — Topkapı, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque — in the afternoon light.
